Why electrical compliance matters
Electrical compliance is not just paperwork. It protects your people, your premises and your ability to keep trading.
-
Your people matter
Unsafe electrical systems can cause electric shock, serious injury or death.
-
Your business matters
Electrical faults can cause fire, major damage and loss of business.
-
Your building matters
Fire or electrical damage could leave your premises unusable for weeks or even months.
-
Are you covered?
Failing to keep up with required electrical inspection and maintenance could affect your insurance cover or a future claim.
-
Could you be liable?
Serious health & safety failures can lead to unlimited fines, prosecution and imprisonment. Directors and managers can potentially face personal liability where an offence is attributable to their neglect.

Frequently asked questions
How often should a commercial EICR be carried out?
There isn't one fixed interval for every commercial property. The appropriate frequency depends on the installation, its current condition, how the premises are used and the level of risk. We can advise on the appropriate inspection period for your premises.
Does emergency lighting need to be tested every year?
Emergency lighting should be regularly tested and maintained, including routine functional checks and an annual full-duration test by a competent person. Testing and maintenance should also be recorded.
Does PAT testing need to be carried out annually?
No. There is no legal requirement to carry out PAT testing every year. However, businesses have a legal duty to ensure electrical equipment is maintained to prevent danger, and inspection and testing can be an important part of an effective maintenance regime. The appropriate frequency depends on the equipment, how it is used and the environment.
What happens if you find an electrical problem?
We'll clearly identify the issue in our report and explain what needs to be addressed. Where remedial work is required, we can provide an estimate and carry out the work ourselves.
Can you provide ongoing electrical compliance for multiple properties?
Yes. We can provide ongoing electrical testing, remedial works and reactive support across multiple commercial properties, giving you one contractor and one point of contact.
What areas do you cover?
We're based in Twickenham and cover Richmond, Teddington, Isleworth and surrounding areas across Southwest London. If you're outside these areas, contact us and we'll let you know if we can help.
